Turkish talent Samed Agdeve continues his impressive rise with another prestigious achievement. On November 7 in Bangkok, during ONE Fight Night 37, the 21-year-old fighter defeated Ukrainian star Roman Kryklia by unanimous decision, becoming the first-ever ONE Heavyweight Kickboxing World Champion in history.
The bout lasted the full five rounds, with Agdeve starting strong right from the opening bell. During the first three rounds, he systematically targeted Kryklia’s calves, forcing him to switch stances and visibly limiting his movement. Throughout all rounds, the Turkish fighter dominated, displaying exceptional speed and technique. Agdeve attempted several spectacular spinning head kicks and rightfully earned the unanimous judges’ decision.
Standing at 195 cm, Roman Kryklia entered the ring aiming to make history by claiming his third world title in a different weight division. The Ukrainian had already held the light heavyweight and cruiserweight titles, but this time the young Turkish fighter proved too powerful and technically superior.
Samed Agdeve is also well-known to the Bulgarian audience. He was the grand winner of SENSHI 28, where he captured the first-ever SENSHI Grand Prix title, triumphing over Rhys Brudenell from England in the final.
With his victory in Bangkok, Agdeve not only made history in ONE Championship, but also solidified his status as one of the most promising names in global kickboxing.
