
SENSHI 32 Grand Prix once again thrilled combat sports fans with a night of spectacular fights, dramatic moments and high-level action. Minutes after Joshua Akingbade was crowned the first-ever SENSHI Grand Prix Middleweight Champion, the promotion's traditional Special Awards were presented in the ring to recognize the most outstanding individual performances of the evening.
Here are this edition's winners:
The "Best Technique" award went to the newly crowned SENSHI 32 Grand Prix Middleweight Champion Joshua Akingbade (Ireland). On his way to the title, Akingbade displayed exceptional precision, outstanding tactical awareness and an impressive technical arsenal, scoring two knockout victories to claim the championship. The award was presented by Shihan Francisco Filho – the Brazilian Kyokushin and K-1 legend and President of KWU SENSHI South America.
The "Fighting Spirit" award was presented to Daniele Valente (Italy). The Italian fighter impressed everyone with his determination, resilience and relentless will to win during his Super Fight against the reigning SENSHI Grand Prix -75 kg champion Zhulien Rikov. Valente received his award from Shihan Akira Masuda, President of KWU SENSHI and widely known as the "Last Samurai of Kyokushin."
The "Knockout of the Night" award was claimed by Nathan Cook (England). The heavyweight needed just one round to knock out Francesko Xhaja (Albania), delivering one of the most memorable finishes of SENSHI 32 Grand Prix. The award was presented by K-1 legend and KWU SENSHI Board Member Sam Greco.
The SENSHI Special Awards are presented at every gala event to honor fighters who stand out not only for their victories but also for their outstanding technique, fighting spirit and spectacular performances inside the ring.
Following the success of SENSHI 32 Grand Prix, attention now turns to the next event. SENSHI 33 Grand Prix will take place on September 5 in Varna, Bulgaria, bringing together another elite lineup of international fighters for a new night of world-class kickboxing action.
