As a member of the SENSHI Board of Directors, lead instructor, referee, judge, and one of kickboxing's greatest champions, Albert Kraus believes SENSHI has become much more than a fight promotion—it is a platform where experience, values, and martial arts traditions are passed on to the next generation.
In an interview with Champs Talk TV during the XX International Martial Arts Summer Camp, held in Varna, Bulgaria, from 5 to 12 July, the first-ever K-1 World MAX Champion reflected on SENSHI's mission, the importance of its international training camps, and why helping young fighters has become the most rewarding chapter of his career.
SENSHI – A Pathway for Future Champions
For Kraus, SENSHI's greatest achievement is not only organizing world-class fight nights but creating a complete pathway for martial artists—from training and development to competing on the international stage.
"SENSHI is doing an amazing job. The organization keeps martial arts growing and gives young fighters opportunities to develop."
According to the Dutch legend, the combination of professional fight events and international training camps creates an environment where athletes can continuously improve while learning directly from world champions.
Experience That Makes the Difference
In addition to serving as a lead instructor and ambassador, Kraus is also a referee and judge at SENSHI events. His years inside the ring allow him to understand situations from a unique perspective.
"You know exactly what fighters are going through because you've been there yourself. That helps you make fair decisions."
Kraus believes combat sports are full of talented athletes, but talent alone is never enough.
Organizations like SENSHI, he says, play a vital role by providing education, mentorship, and international competition opportunities that allow fighters to reach their full potential.
"The best thing is being able to pass your experience on to the next generation."
Helping Young Fighters Grow
As one of the lead instructors at the SENSHI Camps, Kraus works closely with athletes from around the world, helping them refine their technique, mindset, and professionalism.
Watching young fighters develop is one of the most rewarding parts of his role.
"I saw a young fighter who trained with us four years ago, and now he's winning fights. That's what makes me proud."
