Delyan Georgiev: “I haven’t achieved my greatest victory yet – it’s still ahead of me!”

With two world titles and one European title from IMMAF, 31-year-old Delyan Georgiev is one of the most successful Bulgarian MMA fighters and a respected professional in combat sports. This July, he returns to the SENSHI ring for his fourth appearance with a clear goal – a knockout victory. For him, martial arts are a philosophy, and the path to success is deeply personal and disciplined.

Born and raised in Varna, inspired by the older guys at the gym, today Delyan Georgiev is a role model for young fighters – not only for his sporting achievements but also for his character. Humble, dedicated, and fearless – both in and out of the ring – he believes his biggest battles are yet to come.

Regarding his upcoming fight at SENSHI 27 on July 12 in his hometown of Varna against Brazilian Hama Dara, Delyan is brief: “Winner.” His strategy, too, can be summed up in one fan-favorite word – “Knockout.” Here’s what else he shared about his preparation in a short interview for Gong.bg.

– Delyan, how did your journey in combat sports begin?

Ten years ago – I was inspired by the older guys at the gym. They made me believe I could become something more.

– What does a typical day of preparation look like for you?

I wake up early, meditate, have breakfast, then train. At noon I rest, prepare food, work, train again, and spend the evening with my family.

– Your favorite part of training?

Without a doubt – sparring. That’s where a fighter’s real growth happens.

– Your most memorable victory?

The World Championship in 2017 – it was a hard-fought victory, earned down to the very last second.

– What keeps your motivation alive?

My faith. In myself, in the journey, in the idea that every fight has meaning.

– How would you describe SENSHI in just three words?

Honor. Respect. Aesthetics.

– What can fans expect from you in the upcoming fight?

Action, intensity, technique, and class. And hopefully – a knockout.

– And what would you say to your opponent?

You’ll learn something from this fight.
