Legendary Combat Icons Are Coming to SENSHI 30 Grand Prix

Less than two weeks remain until the highly anticipated anniversary fight gala SENSHI 30 Grand Prix, where combat sports fans will witness the circuit’s first Grand Prix tournament in the under-75 kg category, along with three super fights. The event will take place on February 28, starting at 7:00 PM EET /12:00 PM EST/, at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria, and the fight card is more than impressive.

The SENSHI 30 Grand Prix arena will feature 18 fighters from 13 countries — Japan, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, DR Congo, Portugal, Spain, Hungary, Slovenia, Moldova, Albania, Greece, Romania, and Bulgaria. Tickets for SENSHI’s 30th anniversary edition are already on sale and can be purchased through the network of Eventim.bg.

On this special occasion, legendary combat greats, champions, and multiple Grand Prix titleholders are arriving in Bulgaria — Ernesto Hoost, Semmy Schilt, Nicolas Pettas, Albert Kraus, and Andy Souwer. They will take on the roles of referees and judges for the bouts during the SENSHI 30 Grand Prix fight gala.

In the days leading up to SENSHI 30, from February 26 to March 1, the legends will also be among the lead instructors at SENSHI’s first international martial arts training camp of 2026. Fans can also view the full list of instructors participating in the prestigious February training camp.

Ernesto Hoost is a 4-time K-1 World Champion, Savate World Champion, ISKA full contact World Champion, Muay Thai World Champion, and Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI.

Shihan Semmy Schilt is the President of KWU SENSHI Europe, a Glory Grand Slam 16-man tournament Champion, Glory World Champion, 4-time K-1 Grand Prix Champion, K-1 World Champion, 3-time King of Pancrase, 2-time World Kudo Champion, and Member of the Board of KWU SENSHI.

Shihan Nicholas Pettas is a European and World Karate Champion, the last Uchi-deshi of Masutatsu Oyama, a K-1 Japan Grand Prix winner, a SENSHI ring announcer, a Member of the KWU SENSHI board, and the Head of the KWU SENSHI PR and Marketing Committee.

 Albert Kraus was the first K-1 World MAX Champion in 2002, the first SUPERKOMBAT Middleweight Champion, the World Champion in Kickboxing and Muay Thai, and a member of the board of the KWU SENSHI.

 Andy Souwer is a 2-time K-1 World MAX champion, 4-time Shootboxing World champion, Showtime 70MAX World champion, World Muay Thai champion, and member of the board of the KWU SENSHI.

Sensei Tariel Nikoleishvili – Absolute Kyokushin World Champion 2011, completed 100-man kumite in 2014, Absolute Champion of Japan 2010, Champion of Japan in weight category 2010, Champion of Europe 2010, Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI Europe.

 Sensei Zahari Damyanov – Absolute Kyokushin World Champion 2015, 4-time American Absolute Champion, 4-time European Champion, Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI Europe.

 Sensei Jan Soukup – 2nd place at the 9th Kyokushin World Open 2007, European champion, All Japan Tournament winner, Yangame’s Fight Night Heavyweight champion, Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI Europe.

Sensei Petar Martinov – Kyokushin World Champion 2014, Kyokushin European Champion 2006, 3rd place European Open 2008, 3-times European Tameshiwari champion, Member of the Board of the KWU SENSHI Europe.

As SENSHI 30 Grand Prix approaches, anticipation among the audience continues to grow, with fans eager to follow the live action in the arena and support the four Bulgarian fighters who will take on the challenge of the SENSHI circuit.

SENSHI 30 is organized in cooperation with the KWU International Professional League, as well as with the special support of Armeec Insurance Company, MAX Sport, Bulgaria Air, M Car Group – BMW dealer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars Service, and St. St. Constantine and Helena Holding.
