Luis Ballesteros: “I want to show who I am and how hard I’ve worked on SENSHI”

With nearly two decades of experience in K-1 and kickboxing, Spanish fighter Luis Ballesteros is ready to make waves on the international fight scene with his debut at SENSHI 27. At 33, Ballesteros holds the title of Scorpions Fight Game 2025 Champion, is a four-time Valencian Community Champion, and a national runner-up—but he insists his greatest moment is still to come. Off the ring, he’s a physiotherapist and entrepreneur, but when he steps through the ropes, it’s all about focus, fire, and discipline.

Known for his relentless work ethic and deep respect for mental preparation, Ballesteros trains six days a week and believes in building psychological strength just as much as physical power. “Diamonds are made under pressure,” he says—and he’s ready to shine in front of the SENSHI audience. What else he said about the audience of Gong.bg see in the interview.

You’ve been training for 18 years—what inspired you to become a fighter?I’ve always loved contact sports, but what really inspired me was the discipline and character of the people who fought. That shaped me early on.

What does your weekly training schedule look like?I train every day except Sunday. Three days a week I do two sessions—strength in the morning, technique or sparring in the evening. The other days I focus on conditioning and endurance.

What’s your favorite part of training?Sparring. That’s where I enjoy being myself the most.

You say mental preparation is key. How do you train your mind? With sports psychology and coaching techniques. I treat mental training as essential—like any other part of my fight prep.

Tell us about your most memorable fight?Definitely the one in Zaragoza against a fighter named Lutic. It was a war—but I knocked him out in the third round after three standing counts.

How do you stay motivated through challenges?I stay realistic. Diamonds are made under pressure—that’s how I view tough times.

What can fans expect from you at SENSHI?They’ll see my best version. I want to show who I am, how much I’ve sacrificed, and deliver a great performance.
