SENSHI 24: Five Knockouts and a Hard-Fought Defense of the European SENSHI Title

Dragomir Petrov successfully defended his title in a tense match against Ivan Naccari

On December 7, the “Congress Hall” of the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna became the epicentre of intense battles. Five knockouts, one European SENSHI title defense, and four special awards summarize the last international martial arts gala of the year, SENSHI 24. The event, held in Varna, featured bouts contested under KWU Full Contact and KWU SENSHI rules.

The highlight of the evening was the defense of the European SENSHI Title. Bulgarian Dragomir Petrov faced off against Italy’s Ivan Naccari in a match that kept the audience on edge. After three rounds, the judges unanimously awarded the victory to Petrov, allowing him to retain his title.

Meanwhile, half of the fights on the card ended with knockouts, adding to the excitement and electrifying the crowd in the arena.

Fight #1 – Category: -70 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Ognyan Mirchev (Bulgaria) defeated Walter “Le Cogneur” Christopher (France) via unanimous decision.

Fight #2 – Category: -75 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Daniele Valente (Italy) defeated Petar Stoykov (Bulgaria) via unanimous decision after an additional fourth round.

Fight #3 – Category: -75 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Atanas Bozhilov (Bulgaria) dominated Manuel “White Shark” Sembera (Austria) to win via unanimous decision.

Fight #4 – Category: -80 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Michael Samperi (Italy) defeated Constantin “Lion Crusher” Rusu (Moldova) via knockout in R2 at 2:59.

Fight #5 – Category: -80 kg KWU SENSHI

Aziz “The Sultan” Felak (Morocco) defeated Omar “El Marsiano” Moreno (USA) via TKO via doctor’s stoppage in R2 at 2:10.

Fight #6 – Category: -70 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Bruno Gazani (Brazil) knocked out Marius-Cristian “The Mad Man” Cimpoieru (Romania) in the R1 at 2:37.

Fight #7 – Category: 95+ kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Francesko “Smile” Xhaja (Albania) defeated Massinissa “Massacreur” Hamaili (Algeria) via knockout in the R1 at 0:59.

Fight #8 – Category: 95+ kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Giannis “Hercules” Stoforidis (Greece) defeated Nidal “The Soldier” Bchiri (Morocco) via technical knockout in R2 at 1:53.

Fight #9 – Category: 95+ kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Bruno “Muhammad Ali” Chaves (Brazil) defeated Jahfarr Wilnis (Suriname) via unanimous decision.

Fight #10 – European Title Match – Category: -70 kg KWU FULL CONTACT

Dragomir Petrov (Bulgaria) defended his European title in a hard-fought battle against Ivan Naccari (Italy), winning via split decision.

Special Awards at SENSHI 24:

  • “Knockout of the Night”: Awarded to Francesko Xhaja for one of the fastest knockouts of the evening. The award was personally presented by legend Glaube Feitosa.
  • “Fighting Spirit” Award: Given to Petar Stoykov, presented by martial arts icon Francisco Filho.
  • “Best Technique” Award: Presented to European title challenger Ivan Naccari, who impressed with his style and performance.
  • Helmet of Spartacus” Award: This surprise honor for the Best SENSHI Fighter of the Year went to Giannis Stoforidis for his impeccable performance throughout the year.
