The newcomer Charalampos Digkas on SENSHI 30: „I am focused and ready for a big fight“

On February 28, at 7:00 PM EET /12:00 PM EST/, the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria, will once again be the epicentre of combat sports with the anniversary edition of SENSHI 30, which will feature fighters from 13 countries. The international combat chain will mark the event with a historic moment – the first Grand Prix tournament in the 75 kg category, which will determine the first SENSHI champion in this division. Twelve elite fighters will take part in the competition, and the format is uncompromising – full contact rules, direct eliminations, and three consecutive fights in one evening, with only one fighter surviving to the end and making history.

In addition to the high-stakes tournament, SENSHI 30 also offers three spectacular super fights that complement the fight card. In one of them, in the 70 kg category, the talented Bulgarian Diyan Dimitrov will face SENSHI ring debutant Charalampos Digkas (Greece) – ISKA and WKU champion for Greece. The Boec.bg team contacted the Greek fighter to learn more about his preparation and expectations ahead of the biggest challenge of his career so far.

Digkas has been training in combat sports for ten years, after accidentally stumbling into the gym as a student and discovering his passion for the ring. Today, he enters SENSHI without fear and with the confidence of a fighter who believes in hard work and discipline. His training follows a classic pattern – running, warm-up, technical exercises with a partner, and sparring, with his favorite element remaining low kicks, which often change the course of the fights.

The Greek fighter admits that the most memorable fight of his career was in an Enfusion tournament, where despite being knocked down three times, he showed character and determination. According to him, a champion must be focused, determined, and willing to work harder than everyone else—qualities he believes he possesses. Outside the ring, Charalampos Digkas leads a quiet life as a farmer, enjoys cooking and traditional dancing, and his greatest motivation comes from the goals he sets for himself for the future – fights and victories in world promotions such as SENSHI and his own gym, where he can pass on his experience to the next generation.

On the eve of SENSHI 30, he remains calm and confident that the audience in Varna, Bulgaria, will witness a real fight. Although he does not reveal a specific strategy, Digkas is adamant that he is coming to show his best and make an impressive debut. Fan support is not a decisive factor for him – he relies mainly on his own preparation and character – but he promises a spectacle and a strong fight against Diyan Dimitrov. For the Greek champion, SENSHI is an opportunity to prove himself on the big stage, and his first appearance in the organization’s ring could be a turning point in his career.
