Ulric Bokeme ahead of SENSHI 32: "I've trained with them, now I'm going to beat them"

Swiss kickboxer Ulric Bokeme enters the SENSHI Grand Prix Middleweight tournament with confidence at the international fight gala night SENSHI 32. In an interview with ChampsTalk, he stated that he feels perfectly prepared, has no pre-fight jitters, and has already developed a solid game plan for his performance in the tournament on July 11 in Varna, Bulgaria.

In the first round, Bokeme will face Juri de Sousa from Portugal. According to him, preparing for a Grand Prix format—where a fighter could potentially compete in multiple bouts in a single evening—is quite different from preparing for a single match.

"This is my first tournament in this format. I am very excited and fully ready for the challenge," Bokeme said.

The fighter revealed that he knows many of the tournament participants well, as he has trained with them in the Netherlands over the years. Among them are his first opponent, Juri de Sousa, as well as Fabian Lorito, whom he has already faced in the past.

"I know De Sousa very well. We have trained together. I also know Lorito—we've been opponents before, and it is possible that we might meet again in the tournament."

According to Bokeme, this is exactly what makes the Grand Prix format even more interesting. "We know each other perfectly—just as I know them, they know me. There might be surprises for the audience," he added during the conversation.

Bokeme also spoke about the growth of SENSHI, emphasizing that the organization has given him the opportunity to continue developing as a competitor.

"SENSHI is a very good organization. It is constantly growing, and I am very happy to be a part of it. I've been given a lot of opportunities here, and I feel great."

The Swiss fighter also shared that following his last appearance, he spoke with the legendary Ernesto Hoost, who encouraged him to keep working even harder. "He told me that I can be even better—to train harder, pay more attention to the details, and keep working to win this tournament. Hearing such words from a legend like him means a lot to me."

With only a few days left until the SENSHI 32 Grand Prix, Bokeme is adamant that the main phase of his preparation is already complete, and all that is left is to fine-tune the final details.

"I'm not nervous. We have a plan for the tournament, and I know what I have to do in the ring. However, I will keep the details a secret. Let it be a surprise for everyone," Ulric Bokeme stated.
