Kickboxing sensation Zhulien Rikov will step into the ring in a super fight at 75 kg at the upcoming edition of the professional fight series SENSHI 33. One of the rising stars of the global combat sports scene, he continues to impress fans with every appearance. Still undefeated as a professional, Rikov is showcasing his skills and earning recognition for his discipline, determination, and talent.
The international fight gala SENSHI 33 Grand Prix will take place on September 5 at 7:30 PM EET /12:30 PM EST/ on the beach at the resort of St. St. Constantine and Helena in Varna, Bulgaria. Combat sports fans can get their tickets from the network of Eventim.bg.
“Everything is the result of hard work in the gym. I try not to take too much time off because I’m in the best shape of my life right now,” the fighter said in an interview on the morning show of Bulgaria ON AIR.
“Another challenge is coming up, and I’m preparing hard. I train twice a day, every day. I know my opponent; I’ve seen him fight. His strongest side is his boxing. My opponent is Spanish,” the young fighter revealed to the viewers of Bulgaria Sutrin.
His strategy for victory in the ring is diverse. During a fight, he focuses on staying calm and controlling his adrenaline. He and his team and coach have been working hard throughout the intense preparation for the gala, always relying on a strict game plan that is adapted to the specific opponent.
“My height, distance, and technique are the most important factors. I don’t care what people think about me—I know what I’m capable of. I like being underestimated. It motivates me and gives me more strength,” Rikov also said on television.
The fighter emphasized that physical and mental preparation go hand in hand: “There’s no way you can keep moving forward with only one of them.”
Following his major victory at SENSHI 30, when he won the 75 kg Grand Prix title of the international fight series, he feels more confident in himself and his abilities. The victory has not affected his attitude or confidence, while the title has motivated him to give even more in the ring.
“My coach and my father are always by my side, and I learn from them every day. I may not agree with something, but they definitely tell me for my own good, and I try to listen to them. If they say it, it’s 100 percent true. We always analyze the fight,” Rikov added.
“I don’t have any rituals, and I don’t believe in luck. Everything comes down to hard work in the gym. I try to stay active and not take too much time off. Right now, I’m in the best shape of my life, and I don’t want to lose it,” the fighter emphasized.
