Varna will be hosting the 24th edition of SENSHI and there we will see the long awaited return of one of the greats – Petar Stoykov. He is coming back after a three year layoff because of an injury. Boec spoke with Stoykov before his comeback.
“Before my comeback I am training twice a day and I am focusing on stamina because there are just days to the event. It has been three years since my last ring walk because of an injury. In all that time I felt the lack of competition. This was what kept me motivated. Despite the injury was always in the gym and I waited so that I can be ready for my comeback. This kept the fire in me“, Stoykov said.
Now there is nothing in his way and he feels ready to show us his best side and prove that he is number one in his weight class.
“The fact that I am coming back makes me happy and grateful and I am glad this is happening on the SENSHI ring. I believe I can become champion once again and I intend to prove it on December 7th. I know my opponents strengths and weaknesses. With my coach Nikolay Atanasov we made the game plan and I am coming to the ring in quest for a KO“, stated Petar Stoykov.
The Bulgarian hopes that everything will go as planed and he can get a convincing win so that he can challenge for the European or World SENSHI titles. He invited everyone to support his fellow Bulgarians at SENSHI 24.
