Super Fights Promise Action in the Ring of SENSHI 28

The major combat event, featuring a Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament, will take place in Varna, Bulgaria, on September 13, 2025. For the first time in Bulgaria, fans will witness epic clashes in the +95 kg category. The battles in the tournament will determine who is the best athlete in the heavyweight division out of eight professional fighters.

As part of the international SENSHI 28 Grand Prix gala fight night, combat sports fans will also enjoy three professional super fights, where three respected and talented Bulgarian fighters will step into the beach arena – Dragomir Petrov, Konstantin Stoykov, and Valeri Atanasov.

A long-awaited rematch against Romanian Marian Lăpușneanu will be held for Dragomir Petrov in the SENSHI 28 beach arena, in the -70 kg division under KWU FULL CONTACT rules. Their previous bout was at SENSHI 20. Petrov is a renowned Bulgarian fighter with over 30 professional ring appearances, a four-time national kickboxing champion, and a former SENSHI European Champion in the -70 kg category, holding this title in both 2023 and 2024. He has an impressive record of 16 SENSHI fights with 12 victories so far. “SENSHI built me as a fighter. SENSHI shows me where my place is, what I can do, and makes me believe in myself. Honestly, I owe almost everything in my career to SENSHI,” the fighter revealed in an interview for Bulgaria ON AIR.

Marian Lăpușneanu made his SENSHI debut with a spectacular knockout against Petrov and attracted a lot of attention from the audience. He is a very strong fighter: Colosseum Tournaments Winner in four years /2020, 2021, 2022, 2023/, Kickboxing Champion of Romania, and DFS Winner in 2023.

Varna’s MMA star Valeri Atanasov will enter the SENSHI ring for the second time in a match under KWU OPEN rules against experienced Brazilian fighter Miguel Porto. So far, he has one victory at SENSHI 19. Atanasov is a multiple Bulgarian MMA champion, a silver medalist at the 2016 IMMAF European Championship, and has also recorded wins in other professional Bulgarian promotions. “The most important thing is to listen to my corner, but sometimes I’ve also heard advice from the audience. The tips are that he is a dangerous fighter, and I should wait for the counter to draw him toward me,” commented Atanasov in his last interview before his -95 kg KWU OPEN bout.

Miguel Porto has an impressive background, also in combat sports so far. The experienced MMA fighter is WMF Brazilian Muay Thai Champion, WMF Pan-American Muay Thai Champion 2019, and a Brazilian Fighting Series Winner.

The 21-year-old Varna kickboxer Konstantin Stoykov has prepared new techniques in his arsenal and promises a great spectacle for the home crowd. He is an 11-time Bulgarian kickboxing champion with two shining victories from his two SENSHI appearances so far. In his last fight for the organization, Stoykov defeated Valentin Knau at SENSHI 25. For his upcoming tenth professional fight, Stoykov is determined not only to win his -75 kg KWU FULL CONTACT match against Petros Natan de Freitas but also to earn the applause of the fans and secure his next invitation to SENSHI. “For me personally, SENSHI is one of the best organizations in Europe. I always strive to deliver better and better performances in the ring, to dominate, and to secure my place among the few selected Bulgarian fighters,” he recently shared in an interview.

Petros Natan de Freitas will make his debut in SENSHI on September 13. The 27-year-old fighter is a 2-time WGP Challenger GP Champion and 4-time WGP Champion – a man with a clear desire for destruction.
