Ten years after stepping into the world of martial arts, Hama Dara has carved a name for himself in the international MMA scene. The 27-year-old Kurdistan-born Finnish fighter captured the MMA Kurdistan Championship in 2022, and now sets his sights on making an impact at SENSHI 27 in Varna, Bulgaria. On July 12, he will make his debut for the circuit in a match against hometown MMA star Delyan Georgiev.
Known for his technical yet explosive fighting style, Hama Dara is ready to bring war to the ring once again—this time on the beach arena in Bulgaria. With two training sessions daily and a calm mindset powered by breathing exercises, Dara is focused, disciplined, and motivated by the people closest to him. His story is one of consistency, resilience, and a clear vision—both inside and outside the ring and the cage.
In an interview with Bulgarian sports media Gong.bg, he reveals more about his preparation process for SENSHI 27.

Two sessions every day—outdoor work in the morning and MMA training in the afternoon. I love sparring and shadow boxing.
Do you have any rituals before stepping into the cage?
Yes, I do a lot of breathing exercises. It helps keep me centered.
Your most memorable fight so far?
