Three fighters received special individual awards for their impressive performances in the SENSHI 33 Grand Prix arena. The prizes for “Best Technique,” “Fighting Spirit” and “Knockout of the Night” were personally presented by Ernesto Hoost, Andy Souwer and Semmy Schilt – legendary champions from the golden era of K-1.
Nigerian fighter Dirrick Binnendijk earned the “Best Technique” award after demonstrating precision, excellent control of distance and an impressive range of technical skills throughout his bouts. He began the night with a victory over Agon Bellaqa in a reserve bout before returning to the ring for an additional clash against Pablo Molina. Four-time K-1 World Grand Prix champion Ernesto Hoost, one of the greatest and most respected figures in combat sports history, presented the award to the fighter.
Explosive Tunisian fighter Sharif Ben Mabrouk received the “Fighting Spirit” award after battling through three demanding bouts in the 95 kg Grand Prix tournament. Following a victory over Emin Özer, a semifinal defeat to Ramon Quirini and a win against Pablo Molina in the third-place bout, he deservedly secured a place on the tournament podium. His award was presented by two-time K-1 World MAX champion Andy Souwer, renowned for his relentless determination and exceptional fighting spirit in the ring.
SENSHI 33 champion and Grand Prix tournament winner Iuri Fernandes earned the “Knockout of the Night” award after recording three knockouts in three consecutive bouts. The Portuguese fighter stopped Alexandru Burduja, Yuri Farcas and Ramon Quirini in succession to claim the SENSHI Grand Prix championship belt in the 95 kg division in the most emphatic fashion possible.
Fernandes received the “Knockout of the Night” award from four-time K-1 World Grand Prix champion Semmy Schilt, one of the most dominant heavyweight fighters in kickboxing history. After a demanding night in the arena, Iuri Fernandes will return to Portugal with an impressive collection of prizes – two large trophies, plaques, certificates, the Grand Prix championship belt and the respect of combat sports fans who followed the tournament worldwide on DAZN.
The special awards brought a fitting conclusion to an international gala night filled with fighting spirit, technical mastery and spectacular finishes. SENSHI 33 Grand Prix delivered a total of seven finishes and a thrilling light heavyweight elimination tournament, once again bringing together exciting fighters and iconic names from the global combat sports scene.
The organization’s next major event, SENSHI 34 Grand Prix, will take place on December 5 in Varna, Bulgaria. Fans will once again have the opportunity to watch a Grand Prix tournament in the heavyweight division above 95 kg, along with world-class super fights at an unmissable kickboxing event.
