Four Bulgarian gladiators will step into the ring at the major international combat sports event SENSHI 31 Gladiators. The gala will take place on May 30 at 07:30 PM EET /12:30 PM EST/ at the old Roman arena of the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria. The main highlight will be the Grand Prix in the 70 kg category – an exhausting tournament in which eight fighters enter the ring in a single-elimination format, and after three fights only one of them will be crowned champion. The format demands maximum effort, exceptional endurance, tactical intelligence, and a true champion’s spirit.
In the main draw of the SENSHI Grand Prix, Bulgaria will be represented by proven fighter Dragomir Petrov. He is a two-time SENSHI European champion (2023 and 2024), EMC Muay Thai European champion (2019), Wizard tournament winner (2019), and a four-time national kickboxing champion. With an impressive record of 12 wins in 17 appearances in the SENSHI ring, Petrov enters the tournament with confidence and ambition to overcome a highly demanding challenge.
Among the reserves for the SENSHI Grand Prix will also be the young talent Mihail Velchovski, a four-time Bulgarian K-1 champion and national kickboxing champion. Velchovski already has four appearances in the organization, with two victories, steadily building his career step by step. Following a win in the first round of the Grand Prix in -70 kg division, he has a real chance to step in as a replacement for an injured fighter and etch his name into one of the most demanding tournaments in combat sports.
The SENSHI 31 Gladiators fight card also includes three super fights, two of which will feature Bulgarian fighters ready to battle for victory.
Atanas Bozhilov, known as “Mr. SENSHI,” will also step into the ring in Plovdiv. With an impressive record of 24 wins in 26 fights for the organization and extensive international experience, he continues to reinforce his status as one of Bulgaria’s most successful kickboxers. His achievements include the SENSHI European title (2023), the WAKO PRO K-1 World Title (2019), as well as numerous medals from European and world competitions. He will face an experienced fighter from England in the 75 kg category.
Daniel Dinev will make his SENSHI debut on May 30 in the +95 kg category under KWU Full Contact rules. His accomplishments include 3rd place at the World Championship (2023), Vice European Champion (2024), two-time World Cup winner (2024 and 2025), first place at the European Cup in 2025, and 14-time Bulgarian heavyweight champion. His opponent will be a well-known Romanian fighter who has defeated major names in kickboxing.
