Promising Bulgarian heavyweight kickboxer Daniel Dinev achieved an impressive victory over Romanian star Benjamin Adegbuyi during the international fight gala SENSHI 31 Gladiators, held at the Ancient Theatre in Plovdiv, Bulgaria.

“It’s still a little hard for me to fully realize it, but I’m super happy. We had studied everything about the opponent, and I had also watched his matches and videos. There were strong moments for the Romanian, but we managed to secure the victory,” Dinev told the team of the morning show “Bulgaria Sutrin,” broadcast on Bulgaria ON AIR television.

Dinev’s preparation for his SENSHI debut was extremely demanding. The athlete himself described it as the toughest training camp of his career so far.

In addition to the intense training sessions and strict regimen, he also had to overcome injuries. Despite the pain, giving up professional sports was never an option for him.

A major factor behind the fighter’s success was the disciplined communication between the athlete and his coaches throughout the preparation process for the big SENSHI ring battle. A member of Daniel Dinev’s coaching staff also joined him in the television studio.

For her part, his coach Tsvetelina Slaveva explained to Bulgaria ON AIR that a full analysis of the performance had not yet been completed, but it was already clear that there were elements that still needed improvement.

“During the preparation, we constantly monitored how he was feeling. We conducted check-ups, and if there had been any reason for him not to continue, we most likely would not have allowed him to enter the fight. But he felt good throughout the entire process,” Slaveva pointed out.

Slaveva also shared that during the breaks between rounds, they reminded him of the pre-arranged combinations and tactical tasks, and he followed the instructions with discipline.

Dinev did not miss the opportunity to thank the audience in Plovdiv, Bulgaria, which, according to him, created an incredible atmosphere. He described entering the ring at the Ancient Theatre as a unique experience that can hardly be compared to any other competition.
