Grand Prix Champion Zhulien Rikov аhead of SENSHI 32: Get Ready for Action!

On July 11, the international fight gala SENSHI 32 Grand Prix will take place at the beach arena in St. St. Constantine and Helena resort, Varna, Bulgaria. In addition to the Middleweight Grand Prix tournament (up to 85 kg), the fight card also features two special super fights between proven competitors, promising thrilling action from the very first bell.

Among the most highly anticipated participants is 20-year-old Zhulien Rikov, who deservedly captured the SENSHI Grand Prix title in the 75 kg division this February after an outstanding performance. Just a few months later, he returns to the SENSHI ring, this time for a 75 kg super fight under KWU Full Contact rules, where he will face Italy's Daniele Valente.

Ahead of his bout at SENSHI 32, Rikov spoke to Gong.bg about the biggest victory of his career so far, the discipline that has shaped him as a fighter, and the goals he continues to pursue.

Zhulien, you won the SENSHI Grand Prix in the 75 kg division this February. Where does this achievement rank in your career?

It is the biggest victory of my career so far because it was also the toughest one. The Grand Prix format requires you to give absolutely everything you have, and that's exactly why this title means so much to me.

On July 11 in Varna, Bulgaria, you face a new challenge against Daniele Valente. What's your message to him and to the fans?

I want to tell him to prepare well. And to the fans, I have only one message: get ready for action!

Your father is the person who inspired you to start practicing martial arts. What role has he played in your development?

He introduced me to this sport and has always been by my side. Without his support, I wouldn't be the person or the fighter I am today.

What is your most dangerous weapon in the ring?

Versatility. I like to use a wide variety of techniques and remain unpredictable.

What does every SENSHI victory mean to you?

Each victory is the result of all the hard work I put in every day at the gym and the years of intensive training at the Desant Kickboxing Club in Dobrich.

Which personal quality do you value the most?

Discipline. It is the foundation of everything I have achieved.

What do you hope to accomplish in professional fighting before you retire?

Everything. I don't want to set any limits for myself. I hope the fans will remember me as both a person and a strong fighter who never gives up on his goals.
