The Portuguese fighter won the 95 kg Grand Prix tournament and received the “Knockout of the Night” award, as spectators witnessed a total of seven knockouts
Iuri Fernandes is the SENSHI Grand Prix Light Heavyweight Champion. The Portuguese fighter powered his way past three opponents in impressive fashion, finishing each of his bouts by knockout to claim the championship belt in the 95 kg division. His outstanding performance also earned him the individual “Knockout of the Night” award. Italian Ramon Quirini finished as runner-up, while Tunisia’s Sharif Ben Mabrouk claimed the third place.
SENSHI 33 Grand Prix also featured an unexpected additional clash between the winners of the two reserve bouts. Pablo Molina and Dirrick Binnendijk faced each other in a direct showdown to determine who would be given the opportunity to fight for third place. Molina thus replaced Yuri Farcas, who had been knocked out by Fernandes in the semifinals.
With a spectacular fight night at the beach arena in the Sts. Constantine and Helena Resort near Varna, Bulgaria, SENSHI 33 delivered an extraordinary dose of action and a total of seven knockouts and TKOs.
