8-Man Tournament and 2 Reserve Bouts Set for the SENSHI 33 Grand Prix on September 5.
The bracket is set for the SENSHI 33 Grand Prix. On September 5, eight fighters representing eleven nations will enter the tournament in Varna, Bulgaria, with one goal – to become the new SENSHI Grand Prix champion at 95 kg.
Four qualification fights will open the tournament, with the winners advancing to the semifinals later that night. From there, only two will remain to fight for the trophy. For the eventual champion, the road to the title means three victories in one night.
Bulgarian’s Mr. Action Eduard Aleksanyan enters the bracket as the reigning SENSHI European champion at 90 kg. Known for his aggressive style and finishing power, Aleksanyan now moves up to 95 kg to chase another major SENSHI title. Standing across from him in the qualification will be Yuri Farcas from Romania.
Iuri Fernandes from Portugal will face Alexandru Burduja from Moldova for a place in the final four, while Tunisia’s Sharif Ben Mabrouk takes on Emin Özer from Turkey.
The fourth qualification duel will present Ramon Quirini (Italy) against Ali Nasir (Germany), completing the eight-man bracket.

Yuri Farcas (Romania) vs. Eduard Aleksanyan (Bulgaria)
Iuri Fernandes (Portugal) vs. Alexandru Burduja (Moldova)
Sharif Ben Mabrouk (Tunisia) vs. Emin Özer
Ramon Quirini (Italy) vs. Ali Nasir (Germany)
In a one-night Grand Prix, winning the opening fight is only the beginning. The four qualification winners will return to the ring for the semifinals, before the final two meet with the SENSHI Grand Prix 95 kg title on the line.

Four more fighters will be ready to step in should the tournament bracket change during the night, with two reserve bouts also confirmed.
GRAND PRIX RESERVE BOUTS
Mike Kena (DR of the Congo) vs. Pablo Molina (Argentina)
Agon Bellaqa (Germany) vs. Dirrick Binnendijk (Nigeria)
One of the most intriguing names in the reserve bouts is the three-time KWU SENSHI World Cup for Amateurs champion Pablo Molina. At the latest edition of the tournament in July, the Argentinian once again dominated the competition, defeating three opponents over two days to claim his third World Cup title.
The SENSHI 33 Grand Prix format will also feature a third-place bout, adding another layer to the tournament and giving the reserve fighters an additional opportunity to enter the bracket if needed. With the possibility of being called into action at different stages of the night, the reserve bouts could prove crucial in the race for the SENSHI Grand Prix Light Heavyweight title.
