In his interview with ChampsTalk, Ben Mabrouk discussed what it took to secure third place in the SENSHI Grand Prix tournament, as well as his impressions of the atmosphere after completing the demanding challenge.
“At SENSHI, I felt the energy of the crowd – it makes me give more of myself in the ring,” the fighter shared, emphasizing how important the event’s atmosphere was to his performance. “I really love fighting, especially in a tournament. This was my first tournament, and it was great to fight three times in one night!” he added.
The representative of the Dutch fighting school demonstrated excellent composure and precise striking across three bouts in one night, ultimately emerging with two victories. His performance also earned him the SENSHI 33 “Fighting Spirit” award.
His preparation for stepping into the beach arena in Varna, Bulgaria, was intense and highly focused. During the interview, he explained how he had worked on his physical endurance and tactical discipline to deliver his best performance in the elimination tournament. “We train extremely hard at my gym, and I wanted to take my opponents into deep waters – nobody trains harder than us!” Ben Mabrouk said.
From the moment he entered his opening bout at SENSHI 33, Ben Mabrouk displayed the calmness and concentration of a competitor who knew exactly what he wanted to achieve. His combinations were sharp, his pace was high, and his control was impressive. “I have been a professional fighter for about a year. I know that I am at the beginning of my career, and I may not be the fastest or most technical fighter out there, but nobody wants it more than I do! When I step into the ring, I know regardless of all the advantages my opponent may have over me, I will win!” the Tunisian said with conviction.
