Young and dangerous, yet disciplined — these are just three of the many words that can describe 19-year-old kickboxer Zhulien Rikov. The eight-time Bulgarian champion in the sport joined “Sportal Fight Club” virtually to share his ambitions for conquering new heights in professional kickboxing, as well as the challenges that lie ahead.
One of the early talents of the traditionally strong “Desant” kickboxing and Muay Thai school is set for his fourth professional fight on December 6. He revealed to the sports media outlet Sportal.bg that he will face an older and more experienced opponent from Spain. The duel between Zhulien Rikov and the Iberian representative will be part of the 29th edition of the international combat gala SENSHI. The event will take place at the Palace of Culture and Sports in Varna, Bulgaria, and tickets are available through Eventim.bg.
“One of the biggest challenges awaits me at SENSHI 29. My preparation for the match is tough, but I hope my opponent is also well-prepared so we can deliver a strong performance. He is more experienced, but that doesn’t worry me,” Rikov added during the conversation.
A gold medalist from WAKO World and European Cups, Rikov already has one SENSHI victory under his belt. He hopes for a chance to fight for a SENSHI title, provided he delivers strong performances on December 6 and in future clashes in the SENSHI ring.
