Zhulien Rikov, a two-time Kickboxing World Cup champion, two-time European Cup champion, and eight-time national champion of Bulgaria, is already in full preparation mode for SENSHI 27.
“I’m ready for the clash, feeling good, and in great shape. The training is tough—just as it should be. I train twice a day, and starting next week it will get a bit lighter so we can fine-tune for the fight. My opponent is older and more experienced, heavier too—but he’s not better prepared than me,” said the kickboxer in a live interview for the “Bulgaria Sutrin” morning show.
Rikov shared that he and his coach have carefully analyzed his opponent. “I know his strengths and weaknesses. I’m ready to counter. I have many strong sides—I’m fast, versatile, and always looking for the fight. I’ll do my best to end the match in style, maybe with a nice flying knee. People have underestimated me before, but that doesn’t matter. What counts is how much you’ve trained in the gym and how dedicated you are to the sport,” he added during the Bulgaria ON AIR broadcast.
“The diet is part of the preparation—it’s one of the most important components. And next week it becomes even more critical, as I’ll need to cut weight,” he emphasized at the end of the conversation.
For him, the audience is one of the most motivating factors—their cheers give every fighter energy. That’s why he promised fans of combat sports a brilliant performance in his debut appearance at SENSHI 27. You can get tickets for the professional gala night from the network of Eventim.bg.
